Hideto Asamura, the succesor of "Super Star" Hiroyuki Nakajima.

It may hasty. But mass media has begun to talk about the players who will across the pacific ocean in this off-season. And some MLB scouts has come to Japan to check these players.

One of the player, Hiroyuki Nakajima, will "push the bottun" to use free agent lights to come true his dream, to join MLB. He was about to contract with New York Yankess last off-season, but their negotiation had passed because Nakajima refused to be substitute player for 6 years.

He stays in Japan and has been showing great contribute for the team, Saitama Seibu Lions which is now atop of league. His BA is above .320, and total hits and OBP are also about to take the top of the league. Hisanobu Watanabe, the manager of the team, named him "Super Star" after the game when he blasted tie-game hormer in bottom of 7th in 9/5.

The team has already thought about the situation when he leave the team and Japan. They were also going to regard one player as a succesor of the superstar short stop.

Hideto Asamura, 21 years old infielder, will take the place of him. Asamura has already come in fashion last year, and contribute for the team which brought back from bottom place to 3rd place of the league with 117hits, 17doubles, 9HRs, 45RBIs, 7SBs, and .268BA in 137games.

Though he had spent hard time with slump around before this summer, he improved his stats dramatically in July. He was .180BA(19 for 107) and .279OBP in 35games until June, but the month was .333BA(24 for 72) and .395OBP in 21game.

And he has been placed on battin 1st from 8/30. The place is his favorite one where he was placed on when he was high school student and called "fiercest top batter in high school baseball histoly".

He showed agressive batting on there. His stats at batting first are 12 for 42(.286BA), 7Rs, 1HR, 3RBIs, 0BB, 1SH in 10 games. As the no-BB in batting first point he like hitting, his against 1st pitch stats is 22 for 64 (.344BA).

You may think just only these stats are not pointed out he is not good succesor for the "Super Star" Nakajima. But he has good reason to be next star player. It is good result for main pitchers. The following all pitchers are rotation players of other team.

                                                                              • -

He is now running on the way to be star player. He need to be stable his batting stats for every time, for every batting, and against every pitchers. If he does it true, he will get opportunity to excel many players in NPB and may be able to bridge over the pacific ocean.
