The countdown for 200 hits has begun.

His 192th hit in a single season delivered the team walk-off win against Saitama Seibu. He has already broken the team record in the 9th inning. It had by Munenori Kawasaki, 190 hits, but the walk-off hit extend the record again.

Yuya Hasegawa, Fukuoka SoftBank's outfielder, is closing to 200 hits in a single season. His total hits are now 192, and he aim to reach the "twenty-O" in 8 games. If he achieve it, it'll be the first time since Tsuyoshi Nishioka who did it in 2010. And the "200 hit club" will welcome 6th newcomer, after Ichiro, Norichika Aoki, Alex Ramirez, Matt Murton, and Tsuyoshi Nishioka.

In this year, Hasegawa has been experienced amazing season. His career high stats was in 2009 (143 games, 159 hits, 31 doubles, 3 triples, 7 home runs, 44 RBIs, 57 walks, and .312 BA), but he has already broken most of stats in this year (192 hits, 27 doubles, 6 triples, 19 home runs, 79 RBIs, 46 walks, and .345 BA, in 138 games).

Hideto Asamura reach new field as a great clutch hitter.

With he deliver sharp liner to left field, Yasuyuki Kataoka came to home from third base. It meant the time that he became the youngest achiever who reach 100 RBIs in NPB.

Hideto Asamura, just 22 years old and the "interim" batting 4th place on the lineup of the Saitama Seibu, achieved 100 RBIs in a single season on 9/26. This achievement is the first time since Hiroyuki Nakajima who reached the "ten-O place" in 2011, and is the 10th player in team history.

"It is 100th RBI, but I will try to aim higher number". He said to aim to climb higher place, but the fifth Japanese player who reach 100 RBIs on the team history. The former achievers are Futoshi Nakanishi, Koji Akiyama, Takeya Nakamura, and Hiroyuki Nakajima. Even if Kazuhiro Kiyohara and Koichi Tabuchi didn't notch this glorious achievement.

He just left nine games for the last game of the season. If he adds more RBIs on this pace, he will get an RBI King title of the league in 2013. Casey McGehee who is now in 2nd place for RBI leaders has chased him with 90 RBIs in 135 games.

Yokohama DeNA has still aiming post season.

When the closer took swing out from NPB single season home run record holder at last, fans might get big relief, and the team found the way to survive for a little possibility. The percentage may still a low number, but to win each game may begin a "miracle".

Yokohama DeNA escaped from Tokyo Yakult's chase in the last inning. The win clinched to have winning of the card against the Swallows, which is the first time since 2009. And they got within 1.5 games of the 4th place in the league, Chunichi.

Jorge Sosa, the closer of the team, surrounded 2 hits in the top of the 9th inning. And he faced off Wladimir Balentien who is the single season home run King of NPB. It was the severest situation not only for him but also team in the game. Sosa, however, escaped from it by three pitches, just used slider for 58 homers batter.

The starter of the Baystars, Enyelbert Soto, also faced off two severe situation on the night. He was fulfilled all bases on top of the 1st inning by two hits and a walk, but he took a double play from Ryoji Aikawa.

He didn't allow to put a runner on second base in the 2nd and 3rd inning. And the team marked the first score of the game in the bottom of the 1st inning by Hitoshi Tamura's double with Nyjer Morgan's great base running. Soto also added 2nd run of the game by a squeeze bunt in the bottom of the 2nd inning,

On top of the 4th inning, he was loaded with all bases by three walks. It was 2nd severe situation for him, and he allowed sharp liner for the right field line. But the first base man, Taketoshi Goto, clutched the liner, and escaped from the jam.

And Goto hit RBI double to left-center field in the bottom of the 7th. At last, it became winning score because of the Tokyo Yakult's counterattack in the bottom of the 8th when they add two run by Shinya Miyamoto's RBIs single. Goto was 7 for 11 on this card with 4 RBIs and 3 runs.

Saitama Seibu survived for Climax Series.

It was different from 4th place team's contents. Some people may wonder why the team is now 4th place of the league because the core players output their potential fully. And the team fans may think it will turn around of a bad situation.

Takayuki Kishi, the Saitama Seibu's starter of the game, got 10th win of this season. He allowed first score of home run by Dai Kang Yang in the 1st inning, but it was just a hit of the game for the Hokkaido Nipponham.

He got 12 consecutive outs until a walk for Kenji Sato in the 5th inning after the home run.

His first and last severe situation in the game was in the 7th inning. He allowed two runners by infield error and his 3rd walk. But he escaped from the situation by a grounder to short stop. It was his last out of the game with stats that 116 pitch, 3 hits, 3 strikeouts, 3 walks, and 1 earned run and run.

Hideto Asamura, the new batting 4th on the team from 29th May, add two RBI which concludes tie-breaking RBI in the 3rd inning which was created by his infield single with headfirst slide. His 96th RBI means it is 4 RBIs shy of 100 RBIs of the season, which was achieved just nine players on the team history.

Takeya Nakamura, former batting 4th on the team, smashed 2nd home run of the season. The beautiful liner was 1st home run in his home stadium in this year. It also insures the team to win, it extends lead to 4 runs in the bottom of the 8th inning.

Kajitani is about to be new hope of Yokohama.

The man has not been able to hit a home run until July in the 2013 season. But, he smashed eight home runs with 22 RBIs in 23 games in August. It means he exceeded his career home runs (3) and RBIs (13) in 102 games (for three years) in a month. What has happened to him?

Takayuki Kajitani, the Yokohama DeNA's 25 years old infielder, is now a member of the cleanup of the team. He just appeared in 51 games in this season, but he marked 55 hits (12 doubles, 3 triples, and 9 home runs), 27 RBIs, 39 runs, with .357/.414/.649.

Surprisingly, most of the stats are done in half of the game. His total outing from March to July (but he didn't appear in July because he was at farm team) has been just 26 games.

And his total 31 runs in August were about to be NPB tie record. It was renewed by Shuichi Murata who marked 32 runs, but nobody couldn't predict Kajitani's surprising blossom.

The stats for against the Central League's teams are also outstanding ones. Even if his minimum stats, he reached .280 (7 for 25) with 2 home run against Hiroshima.

Hideto Asamura is now on the way to top players.

"The batting 4th place on lineup", we call it "4番 (Yo-ban)", has a big mean for not only baseball players but also baseball fans, as Hideto Asamura said "I don't like it (because it has big responsible)."

But Asamura, the Saitama Seibu's young clutch hitter, has been living up to his big responsibility for "interim Yo-ban" from 5/29 when he placed it for the first time in his career.

The Saitama Seibu has been lacking their core batter for injury. Takeya Nakamura, four time home run king of the Pacific league and smashed 234 home runs on his 12 years professional career, has continued rehab from last off season because of left knee surgery. Nakamura has still not participated in minor games.

But his junior alumni, "Kohai" of the Osaka-Toin high school, has compensated the spot from last of May. He has been placed the spot on 23 games, and marked 10 home runs, 23 RBIs, with .373/.418/.765.

Hisanobu Watanabe, the manager of the team, admitted Asamura's blossom as a main hitter of the Lions. Watanabe said "He is "Yo-ban" (the trustful batter) of our team " at after the game in 7/4, when Asamura marked 2 consecutive game home runs.

Asamura also blasted 15th home run of the season in 7/5, against the Chiba Lotte. It was go-ahead two run homer in the bottom of the 1st inning and lead the team 3 consecutive game win.

Kikuchi missed no-no, but he dominated the game.

He missed being one of the legends of NPB history. But the 21 years old LHP of the Saitama Seibu literary dominated the game against the Chunichi Dragons. It lets us know new era of the Pacific League has come, and he will pull NPB in the future.

Yusei Kikuchi, who has already earned 6 wins this year and former No.1 picked up lefty, allowed first hit of the game in the 9th inning by Yohei Oshima. The hit made him miss to be the first no-hitter of the 2013 season. If he had achieved it, it would be the first pitcher of the team since 1996 when Hisanobu Watanabe who is now manager of the team did it.

He earned 7th win of this season, and achieved 3rd shutout game in his career. The win stopped the Saitama Seibu's losing streak on 5. It was assisted by 10 runs which was generated by batters hot-bat includes 3 home runs; back to back blast by Takumi Kuriyama and Hideto Asamura in the 6th inning, and Ryan Spilborghs' 2nd home runs which was the first time since 4/16.

Kikuchi had retired 16 straight batters until a walk for Motonobu Tanishige in the 6th inning. And he was added a more runners which were on base by an infielder's error in the inning, but he prevents first score of the game by striking out for Hirokazu Ibata. At last, it was the last chance for Chunichi to get score in the game.

"It's very frustrating". Kikuchi said after the total 138 pitches with 8 striking out and a walk. "I felt fear to go to the mound for the first time on my baseball career". He said he felt a big pressure for deed.
